AIR TRAVEL AND YOUR ESA The Air Carrier Access Act is a federal law requiring airline companies to allow prescribed ESA's to travel for free with their prescribed owner. There are caveats: Every airline will require a letter from a doctor or licensed therapist within the last year prescribing the ESA for an emotional disability. Further, some airlines will require their specific form be completed. Before travel, lookup each airline and review their ESA policies to ensure you have the correct form. HOUSING RIGHTS AND YOUR ESA If an emotional support animal is prescribed by a licensed mental health professional to an emotionally or psychiatrically impaired (disabled) person, the Fair Housing Amendments Act of 1988 requires the landlord/property manager make reasonable accommodation to policies to allow the tenant to possess an ESA. There may be no specific limitations to species, breed, or weight policies. You cannot be charged a pet deposit or extra monthly fees for an ESA.
The Air Carrier Access Act (ACAA) requires airlines to allow ESA animals to travel with their prescribed owners for free in the airline cabin.
Fair Housing Act of 1988 allows an emotionally or psychiatric-ally impaired person to have an Emotional Support Animal (ESA) dog. Policies restricting, weight, type, breed do not apply, within reasonable limitations.
BRIGHT RED very official looking Emotional Support Animal Wallet ID Card Badge
Laminated with 5 mil laminate to protect for years to come, very durable.
VALID only for locations that do not require a doctors signature.
~ I slipped the card in a badge holder & clipped it to my kitties ESA leash ?5 stars because it’s exactly like description. However, it’s noteworthy that the information is outdated since emotional support animals no longer have the privilege to board aircraft with their traveling owners. It was abolished somewhat recently.
