my husband is in love with them. he has talked for YEARS about how his dad used to have a pair just like them and he wanted a pair of his own. He finally got his pair and now hes a happy albeit not all that fashionable man.This item shipped by mail from Germany to Oregon in just 13 days. It was exactly as promised. I have had these shoes many times before, and, considering that they can be resoled, they are a good value. Much savings here compared to local stores for the same item. I could not be more pleased.I'm disappointed to say that the left clog seems to be built slightly off in the ball of the foot area. I have more than a dozen pairs of Birks and have never had a single problem with any of them until this pair. I cannot wear them all day because they cause pain. To be fair, I have foot issues and can't wear these at all when my foot is being sensitive but I can wear any of the others. So I'm disappointed in this pair. I didn't return them because they came from Germany and it's a hassle. I'll continue to purchase Birks of course but I'll be more careful about making sure they feel great on my feet before destroying the shipping boxes, and I won't order from Germany again simply because of the return hassle.I love my Birkes! The fit is perfect for me, because I already had a pair the same size.Very comfortable for work and shopping. No problems or complaints. Just #1 comfy shoes!These Birkenstocks are amazing! It's sandals and prices are far too high, as usual the greed is more important than anything else and that will bite back, as always!Not a problem with the product but more the sizing, i ordered two pairs of the Boston in black size 9 uk not narrow fit, and they come thruogh slim fit, contacted amazon explained the problem, they agreed i ordered regular fit and said we will send you out the correct ones, some days later i received the same ones in slim again.Had all the hassle of sending four pairs back and not getting what i wanted because they said they cant guarantee it would not happen again.Shame because they was a good price and i have had them off amazon before with no problem.The smaller size needed because of the fit to the bottom of the foot. Works fine - brilliant shoes - `i use them as slipper inside onlyI think i can class myself as an expert on Birkenstock sandals as i have had loads over the years, but have come to realise they are just to overpriced and do wear out on the sole and heal quite quickly so have decided to go with my other favourite brand Keen.OK but a bit hard work to wear for the first few days.
